Montass: A Handwritten Font for Impactful Campaigns

It was the third week of planning the seasonal sale launch, and I was staring at a stack of mockups that just didn’t feel right. The headlines were too stiff, the visuals lacked energy, and the message wasn’t popping like it needed to. That’s when I remembered Montass.

Montass is a handwritten brush script font that feels like it was scribbled on a marker board. It has this raw, authentic vibe that makes text stand out without being over the top. The strokes are bold, the curves are fluid, and there’s a sense of movement that adds personality to any design. It’s not just a font—it’s a visual statement.

As I opened the file, I immediately noticed the range of styles included. From thin to thick, each weight had its own character, and the alternates gave me flexibility to adjust the look depending on the context. I knew right away that Montass could be the key to making the campaign feel more dynamic and approachable.

Using Montass in Social Media Graphics

For the Instagram posts, I used Montass for the headline of each post. The font worked well with the bold colors and playful imagery we were using. It added a human touch that made the content feel more personal. On the thumbnail for the video teaser, Montass was the perfect choice for the overlay text. It stood out against the background without clashing, and the contrast made the message clear even on small screens.

I also tested it on Pinterest pins. The font’s brush-like texture complemented the visual storytelling of the campaign, making each pin more engaging. When paired with a clean sans serif for the body text, Montass became the focal point, drawing attention to the main message while keeping the design balanced.

Montass in YouTube Thumbnails and Reels Covers

When designing the YouTube thumbnail for the launch video, I wanted something that would catch the eye as quickly as possible. Montass was ideal for the title. Its boldness made it legible even at smaller sizes, and the hand-drawn feel gave the video a unique identity. The same approach worked for the reels cover—Montass made the text pop, helping the content stand out in a fast-scrolling feed.

I also used Montass for the callout text in the video itself. It added a nice visual contrast to the background, making the message more readable. The font’s natural flow made it feel like it was part of the story, rather than just an overlay.

Montass for Email Banners and Web Headers

In the email banner for the sale announcement, Montass was the perfect choice for the main headline. It gave the email a fresh, modern look that felt inviting. The font’s readability on both light and dark backgrounds made it versatile for different email clients and user preferences.

On the landing page header, Montass was used to highlight the offer. It created a strong visual hierarchy, guiding the reader’s eye from the headline to the call-to-action. The font’s personality helped reinforce the brand’s voice, making the message feel more genuine and relatable.

Practical Tips for Using Montass

When working with Montass, it’s important to consider how it will appear in different contexts. For mobile screens, keep the text short and use a larger size to ensure clarity. In thumbnails or image overlays, avoid overcrowding the space—let the font breathe so it remains legible.

Pairing Montass with a clean sans serif or serif font can help balance its expressive nature. For example, using Montass for the headline and a simple sans serif for the subtext creates a polished, professional look. It also helps maintain consistency across different design elements, which is crucial for brand recognition.

Before finalizing any design, I always check the font’s ligatures and alternates. These details can make a big difference in how the text looks, especially in longer phrases or logos. Also, make sure to verify the licensing terms if you’re using Montass for client projects or commercial purposes.

Montass for Branding and Campaign Consistency

Montass isn’t just a font—it’s a tool for building a cohesive brand identity. Whether it’s for a product launch, a webinar promotion, or a social media series, the font helps create a consistent visual language that resonates with the audience. Its versatility means it can work across different formats, from digital ads to printed materials.

One of the things I love about Montass is how it can elevate simple messages into something memorable. A quote graphic, a sale announcement, or a course launch can all benefit from its expressive style. It adds a layer of creativity that makes the content more engaging and easier to remember.

As the campaign rolled out, I saw how Montass helped make the message clearer and more impactful. It wasn’t just about aesthetics—it was about creating a stronger connection with the audience. And that’s what great design should do.
